Dear colleagues!
You are warmly welcome to participate in the PhD level course titled “Nursing theories and research on patients with complex and long-term health needs” (10 ECTS), which will be held online in April and June 2022. The course is organized for teachers who teach nursing science and research for Master´s and PhD students in universities. Those universities are Astana Medical University, Karaganda Medical University, Kazakh National Medical University, Nazarbayev University School of Medicine, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Semey Medical University, and West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov State Medical University. PhD and Master´s students can also participate to the course.
At the end of the course, you will for example:
• understand the key concepts of nursing science in the context of complex and long-term health needs: illness trajectory, person-centered care, person-centered guidance and coaching, social vulnerability, social exclusion, inter-professional care, patient advocacy
• know how to integrate practical nursing theories and patient-centered measures (PROM, PREM) in complex and long-term health needs research designs
The course consists of two parts and both parts are obligatory for the participants: 1) 3-day online course in April (lectures, workshops) 26-28.4 2022 2) 2-day online seminar in June (seminar presentations) 8-9.6 2022
Certificate: If you participate actively to both parts of the course, and accomplish the given assignments in the given deadline, you are entitled to certificate of the AccelEd project.
Experts and program:Experts on this course are nursing scientists and senior researchers from three European universities. The detailed program of the course will be announced after the registration.
The course assignments are
• a written individual essay according to given instructions and specified assessment criteria submitted by 20.5 2022
• an active participation to an e-seminars (both days 8-9.6 2022) as a presenter of the essay and as a provider of peer-review for a colleague in the e-seminar.
