Despite the standards on postgraduate level education in nursing, there is a need to create structures, policy and system, which will enable capacity building of nursing science and research in KZ on sufficient quality level. Therefore, active participation in the projects is required from the Ministry of Healthcare (MoH) and the Ministry of Education and Science (MoEdS) to ensure relevant, appropriate and sustainable policy measures. To guarantee active involvement of governmental institution in the project, MoH and MoEdS were invited to the consortium, therefore are considered as both Full Partners and direct target group of the AccelEd project. They expressed the will to cooperate in nursing science, research and support network development in KZ, as during needs analysis workshop they agreed on the problems associated with the nursing prestige and nursing science development in KZ.
MoH is responsible for setting the quality standards for the healthcare system and services, including requirements for human resources.
AccelEd addresses one of the goals of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Improvement of educational, scientific system and introduction of innovations is one of the goals established by the strategic plan of the ministry, including activities such as:
– Training of specialists at professional development courses abroad;
– Development of standards of institutional and specialized accreditation of medical educations.
