The first day of the second training module on Comprehensive Systematic Review with JBI has begun today. It is aimed at conducting systematic review of quantitative evidence. Participants are discussing the design of quantitative studies. They’re also performing tasks on the correct choice of research design. There are also discussions on how to do the critical appraisal of studies and trainees analyze articles in small groups. This is an important skill for the researcher as the researcher assesses the methodological quality of the study and determines the degree/risk in which the study addresses the risk of bias in its design, conduct and analysis.
Afternoon, participants continue to work on developing the systematic review outline and discuss study data and data extraction.
