The aim of the work package 2.1 is to Reinforce nursing science in Kazakhstan through the capacity building of teaching staff based on contemporary issues in global nursing. For this purpose, clear conceptual knowledge of classifications, theories, models, and frameworks and structures of nursing science is required in order to teach nursing science and to conduct nursing research and publish it in the international scientific community.
As a first step in this process, a training course for academic staff members and PhD students (n = 31) “The substance and theory development of nursing-caring” 10 ECTS is an oneline course in two parts, of which the first is coming soon – 21st-23rd June, 2021.
The course participants will be introduced to and get familiar with the nursing and caring theories applied in European universities and get an understanding in how nursing and caring theories should be implemented and how they can improve development of clinical nursing practice and healthcare.
The course is organized as collaboration by Åbo Akademi University in Finland and Astana Medical University in Kazakhstan, and the course experts on this course are nursing scientists and senior researchers from three European universities (Åbo Akademi University and JAMK University of Applied Sciences from Finland, and Lithuanian University Health Sciences from Lithuania).
