As part of the Erasmus Days celebration, on October 14, 2021 at the Astana Medical University, members of the AccelEd team organized a round table “The ways for improving Nursing within the Erasmus+ program”. Teachers, master students of the specialty “Nursing”, doctoral students of the specialty “Nursing Science” and practicing nurses were invited to the event.
Director of the Department for Academic Activities, coordinator of the AccelEd project Zhanar Bukeyeva addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, stressing the importance of the Erasmus+ program, which makes it possible to improve educational programs, increase the potential of university teachers.
The head of the Center for International Cooperation Liliya Bilan reported in detail to the students about the Erasmus+ program.
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ credit mobility program, teaching staff and students can train in their specialty in European universities (Finland, Lithuania, etc.). For this, it is important for them to speak English.

Aizhan Yegizbekova, head of the Center for Master’s and Doctoral Studies, made a report on the trajectories of training in the educational programs “Nursing” and “Nursing Science” at the level of master and doctoral studies. Of course, participation in international projects provides an opportunity for teaching staff, students and employees to increase their potential, acquire teamwork skills, language skills, analytical skills, skills in the development of educational programs.
